Hi!
I'm getting an error message when I try to set autostart MSDTC in Enterprise manager. This problem just suddenly appered.
Error message:
Error 22002: RegCreateKeyEx() returned error5, 'Access is denied'
I hope somebody can tell me what this is :)Ensure the account used to start SQL Server services and MSDTC have necessary privileges to access the registry key and server.
Also, if you're using the DOMAIN account that you are trying to run the SQL services under must also have privlages to that machine. You must add that account to the local machine, such as the admin group.
If possible to restart the services and BTW what is the level of SQL service pack?sql

Error when running optimizer maintenance plan
Hi
I have 140GB data base with maintenance plan schedule
every sunday. when it run Optimizer plan
I get the error and the job failed if I rerun the job
some time it will completed but 1 out of 4 time it will
failed on
middle of reindex with the error [Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC
SQLState: 01000)] Error 0: This server has been
disconnected.
Have any one known what caused this problem?
Thank in advanceThe message indicates that SQL Server became unavailable to the client
connection. Check your SQL error log for any exceptions of access
violations. Also check to see if someone manually shutdown SQL Server.

Error when i try to Deploy my reports to Reporting services - PLEASE HELP i'm also NEW at t

I'm running a SQL 2000 DB with reporting Services 2005 and Visual Studio 2005, I can connect and browse to Reporting Services through any management console and even to my site through //ServerName/Reports but when i try to deploy any of my reports to the Reporting Services through my VS2005 solution i get this error
A connection could not be made to the report server http://Forge/Reports.
Additional Information:
The Attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. (Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer)
The status of all of my things in Reporting Services Configuration is Green and i can see my site in the IIS, i can also browse my site, it just doesn't want2 deploy.
Please HELP!!!

I am thinking there is a problem with your deploying RS 2005 reports to a 2000 RS database. I wasn't aware you could deploy 2005 reports to a 2000 RS database. Maybe you can do it if you don't convert (existing 2000) reports, I am not sure; but I doubt you'll be able to deploy them if you have converted them from 2000 to 2005. I especially think and new reports will bomb out since they would be native 2005.
There are threads in this forum that talk about this subject.

I traced down my problem, but i'll post my solution here just incase some else might battle with the same problem.
When i installed the RS i changed the Virtual Directory Name to Forge too, so when i deployed them i had to deploy them to Forge/Forge instead of Forge/ReportServer which it suppose to be by default. ->PC Name / ReportServer Virtual Directory<--

million registries, the second 600,000 registries (with errors).

looking at it.

So have you considered using the MAXERRORS parameter? Or cleaning the file
before builk inserting it? Obviously the one with errors in it is failing
because there are rows with errors.

Can you post the format file?
Can you try MAXERRORS = 1 and also MAXERRORS = 100, and see if the
problem moves to a different place than around 600000 rows? (By
default, MAXERRORS is 10.)
Can you watch the computer's memory and virtual memory use to see if it
is going up and up to the max before the crash?
